Kozo Kaibuchi
Kozo Kaibuchi received his M. D. in 1980, and his Ph. D. in 1984 from Kobe
University School of Medicine. He was a research associate in the Department of
Biochemistry at the same institution from 1984 to 1989, serving concurrently as
a postdoctoral fellow at the DNAX Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular
Biology between 1985 and 1987. In 1989, he was named assistant professor at Kobe
University School of Medicine, and was made associate professor in 1990. In 1994,
he moved to Nara where he was appointed professor in the Division of Signal Transduction
at the Nara Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where he remained until
2000, when he took a position as professor in the Department of Cell Pharmacology
in the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine.
