Arturo Alvarez-Buylla
Arturo Alvarez-Buylla received his Ph.D. from Rockefeller University in New York in 1988. He served as assistant Professor at Rockefeller University in 1989 and then Associate Processor-Head of Laboratory at the same Institution in 2006. Since 2000, he has been Professor (Heather and Melanie Muss Endowed Chair) in the Department of Neurological Surgery and the Institute for Regeneration Medicine, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is faculty member of the Neuroscience and the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programs, and of the Brain Tumor Research Center at UCSF.
