| Satoru Kobayashi received both his B. S. (1983) and Ph.D. (1989) from the University of Tsukuba (Doctoral Program, Biological Sciences), before taking on a research associate position (1990), and being appointed assistant professor at the same university in 1993. In 2001, Dr. Kobayashi took on a professorship at the Okazaki Institute for Integrative Bioscience, National Institute for Basic Biology. His main research focuses on the mechanisms of germline development in Drosophila. |
