Yu-Chiun grew up in Taiwan and received a Ph.D. at University of Chicago before completing his postdoctoral training with Dr. Eric Wieschaus at Princeton University. He is a developmental biologist who is interested in pattern formation and tissue morphogenesis and hopes to understand the cell biological, molecular and physical mechanisms that underlie these processes. He enjoys doing experiments and discussing with colleagues. He is spending his time trying to come up with the next coolest experiments and to keep everyone happy in the lab. Outside the lab he likes cooking, cycling, coffee, croissants, cinema and classical music.
