The 17th CDB Meeting is entitled “Towards Synthesis of Cells -Reconstruction and Design of Cellular Functions-“. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together experts with different backgrounds to discuss how to integrate knowledge, resources, and technologies from disparate fields (cellular and molecular biology, genomics, bio-imaging, physics, and engineering) toward the synthesis of molecules, cells and organs, and to discuss the current state and future of this exciting field.

The meeting will cover following topics;
- Construction of Molecules and Basic Cellular Systems
- Synthesis of Self-replicating Systems
- Towards Synthesis of Higher-order Cellular Systems
- Towards Synthesis of Cells and Organs
- New Technologies for Synthesis of Cells: Single-molecule Analysis and Molecular Dynamics Simulation

Applicants are encouraged to submit poster abstracts with their applications. A small number of poster abstracts will be selected by the organizing committee for oral presentations. We look forward to seeing you in Kobe.
