The RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology welcomed Li-Kun Phng as Team Leader of the new Laboratory for Vascular Morphogenesis on October 1. Her laboratory will focus on understanding the mechanical and molecular mechanisms involved in blood vessel formation and the more complex vascular network, using zebrafish as the model organism.
Dr. Phng joins the CDB from her previous position as a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center in Japan.
