Summary |
Katrina L. Kelner, Deputy Editor for Life Sciences, at Science Magazine will talk about Scholarly Publishing: Choices and Challenges. She will give an insider's view of how the manuscript selection process works at Science and what goes into making a successful manuscript, including some hints for non-native English speakers. In addition, she will discuss how the scholarly publishing world is struggling to remake itself as more and more information is disseminated through the internet, presenting new problems and opportunities--such as open access publishing, online-only journals, and misconduct and fraud. Dr. Kelner will also tell the audience about other resources that can help scientists in Japan succeed in their careers. |
