CDB Group Director Yoshiki Sasai wins Osaka Science Prize |

September 17, 2010 – Dr. Yoshiki Sasai, Group Director of the Laboratory for Organogenesis and Neurogenesis has been awarded the Osaka Science Prize for his work in the analysis of organizational principles in brain development and in vitro reconstitution. This prize is awarded by the Osaka Science and Technology Center (OSTEC) to leaders in the physical sciences, engineering, agriculture, medicine, pharmacology and informational technology for contributing new advances in science and technology.
This year’s prize was given for Sasai’s efforts in deciphering the mechanisms underlying brain development, such as inducing factors, and their use in the generation of neural lineages from emrbyonic stem cells. The award will be presented at a ceremony on October 29 at OSTEC.
