Speaker Profile: Hisato Kondoh

Hisato Kondoh received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. from Kyoto University, Japan. He then served as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He returned to Kyoto University to take up the position of Assistant Professor in 1978 in the Department of Biophysics, when he started investigation of developmental gene regulation. Dr. Kondoh moved on to assume Professorships at Nagoya University Department of Molecular Biology (1988-1993) and Osaka University Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology (1993-2003). He is currently Professor at Osaka University Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences and also served as the Dean of the same institution from 2006-2008.
